After agreeing the functionality of the site, and the design was delivered to us over a period of time, we got to work building out the site. In the meantime, we helped them collect and enter product data for over 5,000 products. I think the client underestimated this process, despite us all working carefully together and us managing their expectations … and it pushed the timelines out considerably – the client was happy with this – it being more important to get a certain number of product ranges and brands on the site before go-live.
After a great deal of further customisation and testing, the site went live in June 2012.
