If we were asked to think of a client that has been the most aesthetically conscious of our website design and build, right down to the details of a fade-in being a fraction too quick or too slow, look no further than Brahm Interiors.
An Interior Design agency based in Knightsbridge offering
services including; Architectural Design and Refurbishment, House Dressing (to increase the perceived value of a property before sale) and the more standard furniture sourcing and per-room interior designing for the
home or business.
Converting a website from Adobe Flash to HTML
Apple, the company behind the iPhone and iPad series have a long standing position in regards to Adobe Flash. That position is that they won’t support it, have a look at our
blog article for more information. How does this impact businesses that rely on Flash for their online presence? To put it bluntly you’re missing out on over 200 million opportunities to be viewed …. oh, and the previous Brahm Interiors website was 100% Flash!
Project Deliverables
To convert the Flash-based site to HTML whilst keeping the user interface and animation previously in Flash. Also, to increase the efficiency of
search engine optimisation throughout the site. And to create a new
portfolio page that can be scaled as the business grows yet easily updated by administration staff. All of that, along with moving from static HTML files in folders to a full content managed system, hosted on our own group of high spec servers.
Summary
The project has been wholly enjoyable. We worked with a tight and exacting team who were extremely relaxed and pleasurable but definitely at or near the top of their game. The quantity of source images and data they had available was vast – such a huge shift to some sites we see, or some clients we work with, who don’t have historical information on their own client work.
