After stumbling across a fantastic infographic on the current state of content marketing in the UK, I thought I would take the opportunity to shout out my two-cents on the matter.

The heartbeat of social media marketing is content creation. Creating quality, unique, highly targeted and engaging content is the potion required to have a banging community of loyal fans. Blog battles and content cross fires makes content marketing an extremely competitive field, so it’s vital to have the resources in place to capitalize on content and beat your competitors to the publish button. Traffic, engagement, community growth, SEO and brand reputation are amongst the benefits of being a content king and I certainly agree it’s the only way to keep in touch with your customers!

90% of respondents agreed content marketing will become more important over the next 12 months, whilst 64% believe it’s becoming its own marketing discipline! Where are you at with your content marketing and what’s your view on the future of this field?
