In 2011 House of Hackney was founded around a kitchen table in a house in Hackney, London by husband-and-wife team Javvy M Royle and Frieda Gormley. Sharing a passion for interiors and a background in fashion and product design they decided to create what they had been searching for: in the great tradition of British print houses a brand which championed print, colour and texture, taking inspiration from the past but juxtaposing with prints and treatments for a modern statement. After a decade of minimalism the brand captured the zeitgeist and the imagination of a new generation.
Today House of Hackney has grown from its roots in a house in Hackney to a new generational brand which balances heritage with modernity, mixing iconic design with style and functionality, with a strong social conscience at the heart of its decisions, supporting British manufacturing in the process. House of Hackney ships directly to the customer worldwide and its collections are stocked in 65 partner stores worldwide.
House of Hackney came to LogicSpot early in 2017 with strong strategic and commercial direction but their current development team were unable to cope with the pace and complexity of their online efforts … so our job was to turn them around and move forward at a pace!

Magento site audit & SEO discovery
We performed a Magento site audit looking at performance, the code base, security and SEO. We took over a backlog of outstanding work and identified urgent priorities on the site based on their impact on trading and revenue.
Teams working in parallel for quick results
House of Hackney expressed their need for a better looking and functioning site – fast. Our development, design, digital marketing and management team sat down to come up with a recommended scope, and this was then carried out as a mini-project. Out of this, a number of parallel initiatives are now taking place for House of Hackney, around design, site structure, SEO and UX/site usability and the site is moving forward at a pace.
